Yesterday's gathering was a picnic for families with some old fashioned games like welly wanging and tug of war as well as tractor rides and live music from our local ukelele band. All laid on completely for free and with no fund-raising agenda.
The event was also a good excuse to share round the various batches of cider that have been maturing around the village since our apple day last autumn. Jim has turned our keg's worth into a slightly sparkling cider, which actually isn't half bad!
Some of the terracotta plates we used for our picnic are part of the new Dunelm Mediterranean Collection and to celebrate the launch of the new dishes, I have a chip and dip plate and a ceramic tapas dish to give away to one winner. All you need to do to enter is either leave a comment below or like my facebook page.

ReplyDeleteThis looks like a fab family day. I miss living in West Wittering although as we still have the house I know we will be back one day. My children spent their summer time sailing and camping at Cobnor. Many happy memories. Would love to win Dunelm the chip and dip plate looks fabulous!

ReplyDeleteHi Clare, I just wanted to apologise for not answering your email way back last August about badge hosting. Please forgive my rudeness, I would have loved to join in! Unfortunately I have my blog set up so that emails from there go to an email address I seldom use and that's why I didn't notice it until now. Mostly I only get comments sent to there which I read on blogger.
ReplyDeleteI still read, and enjoy, your blog. Keep up the great work!

ReplyDeleteHi Clare, thanks for your very kind comments x ) I'm off to visit you properly now too (love your profile pic I must say).
I've just overhauled my blog and thought I'd added a bloglovin button (the + one?) but will check it out. All that coding stuff made my head ache, bit of a technophobe me! Highly likely I've messed it up so thanks for pointing it out, much appreciated :) see you at Blogtacular x
