Living Arrows 6/52 - The one with a mullet

Oh dear, look at that mullet. Theo needs another haircut!

My sister is the only one he trusts with the scissors, particularly when it comes to the tricky bits around the ears and it's the tricky bits around the ears that always need doing. I tried doing it myself the other week. It did not turn out well.

We're seeing the trusted auntie on Wednesday, I hope she'll be able to make him look respectable again. The good news is I have discovered that he will do almost anything if bribed with chocolate buttons, possibly even sitting still to have his hair cut.

  1. I feel your pain. Dan will not have his hair cut by anyone. I have to sneak up and do the offending bits really quickly while he's in the bath. Interestingly, he had his face painted on Saturday at a party of his own free will. I was astonished, he sat so still and the lady did it really quickly. The next time his friend Oliver goes for his next haircut, we are going too! Hopefully this peer pressure thing will work again! Fingers crossed! XXX

    1. He was in the bath when I tried it - Ha, ha!

Not only did he look at me like I'd wounded him and wail, but it also looked TERRIBLE! Must be so much easier with girls! :-)

  2. Ha ha - Ben is 8 this year and I still dread the half termly visits to the hairdressers. Why is it that girls who have long hair (and therefore don't need it cutting so often) LOVE the trips to the salon - whereas boys who inversely need it trimming regularly if they want to be able to see where they are going HATE it?? There is still a big bribery element involved here!

  3. Luckily we haven't had the hair cut struggles yet. Our little man is yet to have his first every hair cut. Though he's starting to get some extreme bed head styles.

  4. The auntie thing made me laugh! I'm the only one allowed anywhere near my two year old niece's hair although I'm definitely no hairdresser (gave her fringe a trim last night actually! ) unfortunately I'm also the only one that's allowed to cut her toenails :-(

    1. How funny that it's the toenails too. My sister is not a hairdresser either, but has a few years more experience of cutting her own children's hair!

  5. It's so much easier with girls, it didn't matter if their hair grew long. He really is growing up and is a little cutie x

  6. Beautiful pictures. My son is two years old and he only gets his hair done if he is seated in my husband's lap while the hairdresser makes the job. The promise of a treat (bribe?) afterwards works every time, good luck!

  7. Ahh he looks like such a cutie though, even with a mullet! I attempted to cut Nye's hair the other day, I think he needs to go to the hairdressers even more now!

  8. Totally get the chocolate buttons thing. I'll do pretty much anything for some myself ;-)
