Love The Little Things, Week 32...

Today I'm linking up again with Morgana for Love The Little Things to do a quick round of a few great things we've sampled in the last week.  If you are searching for inspiration for films, clothes or cooking click on the link at the bottom of this post to see the other blogs taking part...

Read

After buying a replacement charger for my Kindle last week I downloaded a new book to read and I am absolutely loving it. I've come to the conclusion that a lot of the best fiction books are ones where the plot is impossible to explain, and We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves is no different. It's brilliantly written with the narrator breaking the fourth wall to speak directly to the reader...

"Such a sweetheart. But don't get attached to him; he's not really a part of this story..."

Watched

Last weekend to celebrate getting our new sitting room together, we decided we wanted to watch a proper immersive movie. On my husband's suggestion he googled recent Liam Neeson films and settled on Non-Stop. I loved it and it has a proper old-school Hollywood special FX ending too. Definitely worth a watch.

Heard

I got a delivery this week of a brilliant bluetooth sound dock and I am rediscovering my music library. I particularly loved listening to Nina Simone "Aint Got No...I've Got Life" whilst varnishing our wooden staircase. It's great not having neighbours!!

Made

Made is a tricky one this week, so I'm going to opt for the fact we made the decision to go out for lunch last weekend to one of our favourite waterside restaurants, the Boat House Cafe. Their chorizo flatbread was amazing. Gotta enjoy these summer days while they last, eh?

Wore

We are a shoes off household (particularly now we have wooden floors everywhere!) but I do like to have something on my feet. Moshulu are really good for slippers that don't look like slippers. These are my latest pair.

And Lastly...

Theo spent two nights with his teenage cousins this week which gave me an entire day on my own. How did I spend it? Doing thrilling stuff like writing my university essay, vacuuming the car, varnishing the stairs, having a visit from building control and handwashing wool jumpers, but gosh I got a lot done!
