Sunshine and food

Fresh octopus carpacio for lunch in Limassol. I think nothing beats fresh seafood, but the husband is not a fan, he preferred his burger. (You can take the man out of Alberta...)

An afternoon in our small patio pool escaping the heat and reading my new book, it's a good one too.

Bella cooling off. We put the dog's toys in their paddling pool to coax them into the water. Bella takes it on as her special mission to remove them all, a bit like apple bobbing.

  1. I'm with your husband there...I crave hamburgers! Love the toy in the pool idea.

  2. Oh how yummy all those dishes look! We had a similar Octopus dish in Greece many, many years ago - and the Tagliatelle also look scrumptious! What great cooks you are (and good hamburgers can be awesome too!) I love thinking of Bella in the pool, bobbing for her toys. Ahhhh, the Mediterranean! I found you through Sierra Rose's blog and hope it's okay to follow! You quilt work is amazing too!

  4. It really does look delicious, but I have to admit that I am from a "burger eating" generation! :-))) I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!!!

  6. Jim - you will be glad to know that we had an Alberta cow for our bbq on Saturday - it was yummy. A friend was over from Germany so with a beer, simple salad and beef he was more than happy - and then off to watch the Medicine Hat Dodge World Pro chuckwagon racing also thrown in. Mind you Cyprus does look nice.
