Simple pleasures
M'mmm... houmous! I loved the stuff before we moved here and now I live in a place where its practically the national dish, so surely its rude not to eat it at least three times a week. Put it on a plate with homemade bread and well, is there anything better?
This week we have mostly been...
● Watching the Red Arrows on exercise. They have been flying over my office every day... Hopefully I'll have some photos for the blog by the end of the week.
● Watching the grass turn brown.. everything is starting to die off, summer must be on the way.
● Talking about pots... we're doing the big garden container purchase this weekend, our little garden transformation is underway...
● Enjoying evening walks on deserted beaches. It's not dark till 8pm... wonderful.
● Thinking about sewing projects. I need to make cushion covers for my sister, a quilt for a friend's baby, pajama bottoms for me and I also want to have a go at this, but I only have two weeks till the deadline... why is there never enough time?
Hope your week is going well so far...

Houmous, we love it as well, we have it at least a couple of times a week. Delicious.
ReplyDeleteHoumous and homemade bread - nothing better! Looking forward to sharing it with you :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, I do love me some houmous!!! I had some just this week with sea salted pita crackers and I can already tell I will have to buy some more. Goes great with red wine or Coca Cola! Evening walks on the beach...how relaxing and peaceful. Enjoy!

oh, this post is making me 'home' sick!! We are planning on getting back at the end of the month and after seeing that pot of houmous I now NEED to go earlier! I head for Pappantonios for that and some of their pittas as soon as I get there! Bliss! I thought the red arrows had stopped their practice over there - do you know how long they'll be there for this year, I've never seen them over there and I'd love to!

Blueberry Heart, good news, the Red Arrows will still be here when you come over and to whet your appetite, I will have some photos on the blog tomorrow too!
ReplyDeleteI soooooo cant wait to see them practicing! I normally head to the Quayside in Newcastle to see them on Great North Run Day, but have never managed to get a photo - your photos are great! It was the first I'd heard of a crash when I saw your recent post, mind they do take their lives in their hands!

Believe it or not, I hadn't even tried houmous was until about 10 years ago, and so it was something I acquired a taste for, and when I did, I made up for not having it all the years before!! :-)
